Spiritual Formation

So, I have to journal after meditating in this class....let me explain: This class is called spiritual formations and it comes highly recommended. We focus on our spiritual lives and how to grow more effectively in the Lord. Each class we have twenty minutes to empty our minds and allow God to work. We think of nothing and expect nothing of God. Sometimes thoughts come, other times not. Sometimes we can sing worship songs in our heads or repeat scripture and think upon it in our heads.

This is what came to me today: I want to be refined like gold through fire. No more imperfections, no more rust. Send me through whatever you want God, only mold me into a gorgeous gold sculpture of your making with no flaws. Take everything out that isn't of You and has to do with my own selfish sinful nature.
